A Day in the Life: Meet Jill Michaels

Few people embody that balance of connection and curiosity quite like Jill Michaels, one of our dedicated Account Managers who brings both creative flair and thoughtful precision to everything she does.

From Public Relations to People Connections

Originally from Florida, Jill earned her B.A. in Public Relations from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where she also minored in Photography. “I’ve always loved storytelling, whether it’s through words, visuals, or design,” she says. That curiosity for communication and creativity set the tone for her career, even as it evolved across industries.

After college, Jill stepped into the world of fashion and music, working as an Executive Account Manager at a streetwear clothing manufacturer that created custom high-end pieces for musicians. Her role spanned everything from sales and account management to photography and brand representation.

“One day I’d be photographing merch for e-commerce, and the next, I’d be traveling to events like Art Basel or Lollapalooza,” she recalls. “It was fast-paced, colorful, and I loved every second of it.”

Evolving Into Account Management

Over time, Jill discovered her true strength — building trusted partnerships through creative collaboration. She transitioned into roles that allowed her to expand that skill set: managing projects for pharma clients at an ad agency, leading operations and a data-entry team at a tech startup, and later serving as an Account Manager for a marketing agency specializing in healthcare and science clients.

Those experiences taught her how to bridge communication between technical teams and clients, a skill that would later prove essential in her role at UnionHub.

Making a Difference at UnionHub

Today, as an Account Manager at UnionHub, Jill helps clients implement and maximize the platform: guiding them through onboarding, solving challenges, and ensuring their workflows are as seamless as possible.

“I’m proud of how UnionHub builds tools that remove administrative burden for brokerages,” she says. “I get to see firsthand how simplifying enrollment and benefit management changes my clients’ daily operations for the better.”

For Jill, the reward isn’t just in delivering solutions, it’s in seeing those solutions transform how people work.

“It’s amazing to see an idea turn into a feature that benefits so many members and agents,” she adds. “Knowing you had a part in that progress, that’s the best part of the job.”

Life Outside the Office

When Jill isn’t collaborating with clients, she’s likely out exploring the best of Colorado life (the state she now calls home). “Skiing and camping are two of my favorite things,” she says. “There’s just something grounding about being outdoors here.”

She’s also a lifelong lover of photography, fashion, music, and Pilates, often spending weekends discovering new workout classes or catching a live show with friends. “I’m happiest when I’m trying something new,” she says with a smile. “Whether it’s a concert, a trail, or a workout, I love experiences that keep me inspired.”
