We are thrilled to announce that Tessa Aubry has been named Chief Operating Officer of UnionHub. This marks an exciting new chapter in our journey as we continue to grow, serve our clients, and build solutions that expand access to benefits and protections for all employees.
A Journey Rooted in Community and Growth
Originally from Nebraska and raised in North Texas, Tessa has called Colorado home for the past six years. Now living in Loveland with her partner and pets, she balances her professional drive with a love of reading, the outdoors, water activities, and—most importantly—building strong communities.
Education and Professional Background
Tessa graduated from the University of North Texas in 2015 with a dual major in Merchandising and Digital Retailing, plus minors in Business Foundations and Marketing. In 2020, she expanded her expertise by completing the Full Stack Development Certification at the University of Denver.
Before joining UnionHub in January of 2021, Tessa’s career spanned business analytics, digital marketing, and development with companies like Pier 1 Imports and Signet. She designed and executed email and SMS marketing campaigns, shaped channel strategy across print and digital platforms, and worked in front-end and email development. Her experience also includes data feed management, API and SFTP integrations, and work across major e-commerce platforms. Alongside these roles, she successfully ran her own photography business for more than a decade, honing her skills in entrepreneurship, marketing, and client management.

Tessa’s UnionHub story is uniquely tied to our company’s own growth. As employee #1, she helped bring our mission to life and scale from the ground up. Today, as COO, she oversees day-to-day operations, leads cross-team collaboration, and ensures we’re delivering the right solutions for our clients.

Beyond culture, Tessa has been a driving force in scaling UnionHub’s product. She has led strategy across the full product lifecycle, guiding the team through an agile environment where priorities are balanced against client needs and long-term vision. Her focus on structure and adaptability has ensured UnionHub continues to evolve with clarity, purpose, and impact.
